We provide assistance with daily living to help you to live as independently as possible. These supports are provided in a range of environments including your own home and range from cooking and cleaning to personal care and everything in between.
Social & Community participation is very important and sometimes it is a little difficult to find things to do or make friends. We have a very active social life at MDSS and we provide everyone with a monthly social calendar that they can pick and choose their activities. This includes weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
Commonly known as respite, MDSS offers two short term accommodation houses so that we can provide respite for both adults and children in separate locations. We will work with you and your family/carer to get to know you and the things you like to do so your stay with us is comfortable, easy and enjoyable.
We provide expert Support Coordination service which is a capacity building support to implement all supports in a participant’s plan, including informal, mainstream, community and funded supports.
For more information on understanding your NDIS plan and supports, click the button below.
We offer a Plan management service which is one of four options NDIS participants have to manage their NDIS funds. We are responsible for receiving and paying invoices; claiming from NDIS Portal; provide the participant a monthly statement and support participants to establish service agreements with providers and explore budgeting options.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) enables people with very high needs to receive the support they need.
MDSS has a 5 bedroom home in Mudgee that currently has a vacancy. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is available.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
If you are interested in SDA or SIL accommodation, email c.e.o@mdssinc.org or call our office on 63723848.
This is where we hold some of our respite (short term accommodation) and run programs and activities for people with disability with complex needs.
Our office moved in May, 2024 to 154 Church Street Mudgee, and we have NDIS registered Plan Management and Support Coordination services at this location. Drop in and see us for more information about your NDIS plan, or how to register for NDIS.
